Applications:
Hot split transfers (to give a soft touch).
Printing Method:
Straight screen printing of one or several colors with appropriate plastisol inks.
Main Advantages:
No curling
Very good dimensional stability
Smooth easy release
High ratio of ink transfer
Recommendations:
Order the paper in the right grain direction
Keep the paper wrapped before printing
If the paper is to be cut before printing, grain direction must be taken into consideration
For screen printing it is recommended:
**To run the paper through the dryer before the multicolor screen printing, in order to bring a pre-shrink
**To protect paper from humidity after each color
Between each step of production, paper must be protected against outside humidity.
It is recommended to make transfer tests on the type of textile of the final user before industrial production.
Wrap the finished product (ink + plastisol complex) in a plastic film to avoid outside humidity and store it at temperature around 20°C (68° F°).
Transfer to be made within 6 month after printing. Shelf life can be affected by inks used and other variables.
Optimal transfer temperature: 180 –185 ° C (356-365 ° F). For higher temperatures, trials should be done before hand.
